
The role of a People and Culture Leader is one of the most challenging in an organisation. You are the custodian of the organisation’s most important resources – it’s people. All the significant issues land with you at some point because they’re complex, often new and unchartered. The role can also be quite lonely, as with many leadership roles. It can be difficult to find a trusted confidant when you are dealing with sensitive matters. Accessing development in this role can also be challenging, as you are focused on the development needs of others often before your own.
